Trick or Treat

I just realized that I forgot to post our cuties in their Halloween costumes. Jacob was Batman, Hayden was a cute little teddy bear (thanks Laurie...for the costume), and Taylor was a pink kitty. I don't know why she wanted to be a kitty again, but this year she was a pink one and not a black one. First we went to Na-Na's house down the street.  Then our friends Christy and Terry with their two boys Trent and Tate came over and we did the neighborhood hay ride trick or treating with a party at the end. The kids seems to really enjoy themselves and so did we. Here are some pictures of that evening.

Jacob's Early Birthday Party!

We decided at the last minute to have Jacob's birthday party a little early...like a month early actually. He wanted to have it at our church where they have a huge play area with a rock climbing wall, but it was booked for the next 3 months. So, his next choice was Chuck E. Cheese. He said he loved his party with all his friends. It was a little sad for me because Melissa and the kids were not there. I don't know if I will ever get used of them not being there. She never ever missed one of the kids special occassions...until they had to go and move away! It was really nice having my mom there, I know Jacob enjoyed it too. He hung out with Nana when Chuck E. Cheese came out to sing, because he became afraid of Chuck E. Here are a few of the many pictures I took of Jacob's special day!!

My Silly Kiddos!!

I am sitting here at the computer minding my own business, when I hear the kids start some really loud music as Hayden is asleep in bed. I turn around and find my silly kids dancing and singing. Scott and the kids used to dance almost every night together for 2-3 songs. They haven't done this in awhile, so I was really suprised they did it on their own tonight. The kids have so much fun being silly with daddy and singing to Jesus! Once the kids saw me bust out the camcorder to catch them in action, they started being really silly as you will see. Taylor tries to copy Scott and spin on her back. Scott can actually do this pretty good. I will have to catch him on video the next time he does it. Anyways, here are our silly kiddos!

I Couldn't Resist!

I thought this was the cutest thing! Jacob left the refrigerator door open and Hayden just decided to help himself. He found himself an apple that we had cut out of for the bunnies. It looked like he ate about 1/4th of the apple with his little piranha teeth of his. Here are a few pictures of the little guy in action.

Our 1 Year Old Sweet Boy

Time just goes so fast...I can't believe Hayden is 1 already.  We took him for his 1 year check-up and he is doing really good, but not walking yet.  He is cruising on the furniture and able to walk slowly if we hold one hand, but no walking on his own.  The other two were walking by now, but this little guy is in no hurry.  Who could blame him, it is so much easier just being carried every where.  Ha! Ha!  He says "ma-ma, mom, da-da, na-na(my mom), va-va(valerie), and ba-ba(bottle)."  I think that is all he says.  He waves bye, blows kisses(but hits his cheek instead of his lips), gives high fives, and claps.  He is in the 90th percentile for his big head and all those brains in there (Ha! Ha!), 75th percentile for height(scott says he gets that from you dad), and 55 percent for weight.  I posted some pictures of the photo shoot we had for his first birthday.  I couldn't help myself, but post the ones that he looks mad or sad.  He looks so pathetic, that its cute.  Anyways, hope you like them.   Double click on some of the pictures that are hard to see his facial expressions, because those are the best ones.  He wasn't happy the day of the photo shoot, because I had to wake him up from his nap.

Haydens Birthday Party!

Hayden's First Birthday Party was great!  It was wonderful having our friends and family come and share in this special day.  It was small, simple and sweet.  The cake was a big hit thanks to my wonderful friend Shannon who made it for us.  It tasted as good as it looked.  I had a special photo session with this beautiful cake! LOL!  We hated to eat this gorgeous cake...but once we ate it we hated to stop.  Ha! Ha!  I'm just the comedian tonight, aren't I?  Anyways, here a some pictures of the special day.  Happy Birthday Sweet Hayden!!
