Yesterday the kids and I went out to see Scott at work. We were excited to actually go see him. We were not allowed to get on the ship, but he drove it right by us. We were about a block away and were able to see it really close. He had us meet him at a boat launch were he would be going by. The ship looked really big. Scott said it was about 136 feet above water and 37 feet below the water. It was 957 feet long and 157 feet wide. He had the captain honk the horn for us twice. The kids looked so proud of their daddy. They couldn't believe he could drive that "big ship." This was an LNG ship so there were 2 coast guard boats and a sheriff's boat near them along with 3 tugboats helping him. It was really neat to see. Here are a few pictures of the ship that I took with my phone. The LNG ship

The Girls Fishing Trip

As you can see the girls left excited and anxious to have fun. Valerie had fun and caught a few catfish. Taylor came back and said..."Mommy, I didn't have any luck. It's not fun fishing if I can't get a fish." Maybe next time they will do better. So, I guess the boys won the fishing competition this time. Here are a few pictures of their little adventure. Here they are before they head out on the boat.

The Boys Fishing Trip

Last friday evening Scott took Jacob and Gersito (my 11 yr old nephew) fishing. They had a really good time. They caught some redfish...yummy yummy. We love that around here. Here are a few pictures that my wonderful hubby took for me. I think I am making him a picture taker after all. Ha! Ha!

I will be posting pictures soon of the girls fishing trip. That is if Scott remembers to take pictures of Valerie and Taylor.

Our Dallas Trip with Valerie

Scott decided to take Valerie and Taylor fishing this evening, so I thought I would catch up on the blog. We have had Valerie (my 13 yr old neice) since the 4th of July. We all love having her with us. So we plan on keeping her here until she gets tired of us. We ended up going on a last minute trip to Dallas after the 4th of July. I love love love hanging out with friends and family, so having Val with us was wonderful! My kids enjoyed more of the big kid rides because they wanted to go on them with Valerie. I even got to go on some of the really big rides since she was there. Scott is afraid of the bigger rides, so usually if I want to go I go alone. However, it is just not as much fun screaming by myself. We all had a great time! It was hot, but we didn't have to wait in any lines. I can't believe we were there from 10:30am until 10:00pm. Our little Jacob even wanted more. The kids were sooo good. Anways, here are some of the pictures of that day.Valerie and Taylor with one of those silly characters.

Valerie taking the kids on the really wet ride...yeah!!! I didn't have to go.
Hayden being so good all day long. He tolerated the heat so well.

4th of July

Our 4th of July this year was not are usual family holiday. Scott and Jacob were up in Buffalo, Texas with Scott's Dad. Jacob had sooo much fun hanging out up there fishing, looking for deer, and helping Daddy and Paw-Paw check out Uncle Calvins trail camera. While they are up there having fun...Taylor and Hayden are home with a sick mommy. Needless to say, I was feeling pretty crummy. Na-Na and Great Grandma came over along with Aunties, Valerie, Kayla, Gersito, and Ian. My sister didn't have her usual big party this year because of their big move, so we did things here this year. The kids went swimming and we all really enjoyed hanging out together. Too bad it will probably be our last 4th of July with them. Here are a few pictures of the day.

Taylor took this picture of Hayden and I...pretty good for a 6 year old.

Taylor and Hayden in their 4th of July shirts I made...too bad you cant really see them.

Hayden's First Haircut

Hayden was needing a little trim around the ears and Scott thought he could do the job. So, I figured why take him to get a hair cut when he really doesn't need it yet. Well, I don't know what I was thinking? He cut the right side and it looked pretty good. Then he butchered my poor baby's hair on the left side. So, now my cute little boy looks silly. Hopefully it will grow fast!! Here are a few pictures of the event. Hayden looking a little scared about what daddy is about to do.

Okay, so maybe its not so bad!
It tickles...this is when Scott claims Hayden moved and made him mess up.

Hayden wanting his hair back..."Daddy you cut too much!"

Oh...My Sweet Little Boy

Jacob, Jacob, Jacob....I just thought he was too cute yesterday, I knew I just had to post this. Most of you know that Jacob has been telling me how gorgeous I am (ha! ha!). Anyways, it all started when we were in San Antonio at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. Scott and Jacob were standing there waiting their turn to get on a ride when Jacob turns to Scott and tells him "Daddy, Mommy is soooo gorgeous!" So, for the past month and a half he has been telling me this almost everyday (seriously). Yesterday, Jacob and Taylor were walking in front of me and Jacob turns to his sister and says "Taylor, your hot!" Taylor and I just couldn't help ourselves we just started cracking up laughing. We couldn't believe our ears. When I asked him where he had heard that, he was quick to say he heard it on Alvin and The Chipmunks. Today I over heard him tell her how "hot" she is again. What am I going to do with him? He means well...my sweet little boy!!!
