The Bunnies

So...Scott has been researching and researching about these dwarf bunnies for the kids. He finally talked me into letting the kids each get a bunny. Taylor got a dwarf wooly jersey that she named Wooley. Jacob got a dwarf mix (I don't remember the type of mix it is), which he originally named Jacob. Scott talked him into changing the name and he decided to name him Junior instead. I thought Thumper would be a cute name, because it reminds me of Thumper on the movie Bambi. Anyways, here are a few pictures of us bringing them home last Sunday.

The kids soooo happy and excited about their bunnies.

The First Day of School

Here are a few pictures of the kids first day of school. Jacob went back to his Mother's Day Out program at St. Lukes were he went last year. His first day was Monday the 17th. He was being so shy...thus the fingers in the mouth. He didn't want me taking pictures, but I managed one.
Then there is Taylor. She went back to St. Johns the day after Jacob. She started first grade and was a little nervous, yet a lot more excited. She really likes her teacher a lot. Here are a few pictures of her first day. The first one is of us heading out to school, the next is of her sitting at her desk and the last picture is of her and her teacher Mrs. Kalaga.

Jacob Singing!

We came home from church this past Sunday with Jacob singing this song he learned. It may be hard to actually recognize the song, because he only knows a few words and he doesn't even have the right tune. But, that's my sweet little boy for ya! He was just too cute that I had to record him and post it for you guys. I also had him sing his Jack in the Box song. Enjoy!!!

Our Trip to the Beach

We decided to take the kids to the beach last Friday and they had a blast. I thought we were never gonna get to leave. Taylor and Jacob played sooooo well together. It was so nice to see them get along since they have been fighting so much this summer. Scott and the kids also brought their fishing poles and ended up fishing while we were there. At first all they were catching were catfish or hard heads as Scott calls them. After a while of that they were catching red fish and trout...one after another. They had so much fun! It is so neat to see the kids (and Scott's) excitement when they are bringing in the fish. It seems like every time Scott goes fishing these days he always brings home fish. It could be a Louisiana thing, he was never this lucky in Texas. Scott takes the kids fishing all the time and has filled up our garage freezer. Meanwhile, Hayden and I stayed under the shade almost the entire time. Hayden didn't care for our beach outing as much as the other two kiddos did. It was difficult getting him to take a nap out there since he likes to lay down and not be held during naps. We were there from 9 a.m. till about 3:30-4:00 p.m. What a tiring day! So here are a few pictures from the day.

Jacob unsure of the water...deciding whether to get in or not.

Taylor tries to encourage him to get in.
Taylor having to carry him back to shore. What a wonderful sister
she can be when she wants to.
Scott caught a bird when he was fishing. We thought he knew what he was doing!

Scott catching what he is actually suppose to be catching. Jacob was so excited...
just look at that face.
Our cute Taylor!

and our cute little Hayden!
Just thought this was too cute not to post.

Granny and Grandpa Rick Come to Visit

Last weekend Scott's mom and step-dad came to visit for a few days. We really had a good visit with them. Grandpa Rick went swimming with the kids and played hard with them in the pool. He got a good work out throwing them around in the pool. Granny played go fish with taylor. Once the kids were in bed we stayed up late playing cards. We played skippo, crazy 8 and a favorite of mine "oh, crap" (as we call it). Scott's mom was the bomb at crazy 8. I found out what a cheater she used to be at cards...I still can't believe it. Scott's dad I think was just as bad. So, I guess Scott comes by it honestly. Anyways, we had a really nice time. Here are a few pictures of Grandpa Rick in the pool with the kids.
