Working on the House & Visiting Paw-Paw

We decided that we would start working on the house some, so we started with the kitchen and breakfast floors. They had laminate flooring that was looking pretty bad. Anytime water or juice was on it for any amount of time, it would just leave all these spots on the floor. Scott found some tile he liked so we decided to tackle that first. Jacob and Hayden love to "help". Jacob loves ripping up the house as he calls it, while Hayden just likes to get in the way. Here are a few pictures of my cute little workers.

Hayden putting the spacers between the tiles
Had to take a picture of my little gangster boy...he was making me laugh so hard

We went to go visit Scott's dad and step mom in Buffalo Texas for a few days. The kids had fun going out and looking for deer and seeing the cows. Here are a few pictures from our time with them.

Our Time in San Antonio

We headed to San Antonio on Scott's last 2 weeks off before school started. We first took the kids to Sea World and then we spent 2 days at the deer lease. The kids always seem to have fun out there. It was nice because Scott's mom and step dad came out with us and we really enjoyed the time. Well, I say we enjoyed our time...Scott had a few issues while we were out there. Poor guy he decides to take this dumpy old truck out riding around looking for a place to put up a few trail cameras when he gets it stuck in the mud. Then the dumb truck wouldn't even start. So he and Rick (his step dad) walk all the way and pick up the tractor and get the truck out of the mud and they still can't get the truck to work. So they give up and use the Ranger out there until the next morning. The next morning they go back out there and get the truck running and all goes well...for a while anyways. Scott and Rick decide they will go to town and fill it up with gas (since the dumpy truck isn't ours). Mom and I decide we would stay at the camp house to feed and bath the kids and put them to bed. The guys end up calling us and say they are on the side of the road and need us to find a tank and bring them a little gas to get them into town to fill the truck tank. As we are doing this my kids decide they want to play with the lock on the camp house door and they lock us in and all 3 kids are on the outside. Luckily for cell phones I was able to call Scott and get the combination for the door to tell Taylor. Once Taylor released us from the camp prison I was able to go rescue the guys and give them enough gas to get into town. After all the craziness with the truck I think Scott enjoyed himself. Well...after he got peed on all over by a turtle. That was pretty funny. The kids ended up going with Scott and Rick most of the time, so I was able to enjoy myself playing cards with my mother in law. We all had a great time...here are a few pictures of our sea world and lease fun!!

Some Misc Fun

We headed back to Melissa and Justin's house after our time at my Dad's before we headed back home. Scott and Justin decided to get up the next morning and go fishing. They had a blast. They caught 4 pike and a bunch of bass to their surprise. They didn't think they were gonna do very well with the "equipment" they had, but they did good! I think this will be their own little tradition every time we go up there now. It's a way for them to escape the craziness of all the kids. There are 8 of them when we are all together. Anyways, here are a few pictures of their fun time!!

The boys with all their bigger fish

Scott, Justin and the pike Justin and Ian...I love this picture of them Jacob holding a little bass...he was too scared to hold a pike

Valerie came back home with us. It was so much fun having her here with us. We stayed busy going here and there and everywhere. LOL!! One of the days Scott was off we ended up going to SPAR water parks. I didn't take too many pictures. We stayed in the water the entire time pretty much. Here are a few pictures from the day.

Here are some silly pictures of Valerie and the kids. Also, my Aunt surprised us and came to visit with us. It was really nice to see my cousin Matt and my Aunt Barb. Matt lives in Houston, but we don't get to see him that much. So it was a really nice surprise to see him. Here are pics.

Our Fourth of July

It was a really nice 4th of July. My sister and I were able to be at my Dad's with our families! I was so happy that we were able to be together, because we usually are on this holiday. We hung out at the house riding horses, playing games, grilling, drinking (some more than others....ha! ha! ha!), and watching fireworks. It was a really nice relaxing day!! The best part of it though was that we were all able to be together. It was also the first day that Scott really started feeling better. Below are pictures that we took through out the day.

Taylor whispering a secret to Dylan...it actually looks like he is listening

Valerie and Taylor getting ready to go for a ride Gersito having fun Jacob giving Dylan a hug...oh how he loves that horse Hayden sitting on the horse for the first time...he was so afraid at first Grandma and Hayden about to go for a ride
