Hanging out outside

Today was a long day for us. It started out with a crabby and sick baby and mommy. Finally we decided to go outside and see if that would help out any. Luckily, it did until...Hayden got hurt as he fell out of the hummer onto the back of his head. We came back into the house with a crying little boy and decided to watch a movie. We were all hanging out watching TV when Hayden falls again, however, this time off the couch. Normally we would think that would be better than the concrete floor. It would have been if it wasn't for the drawer knobs that stick out of our coffee table. One of the knobs hits him right above the eye. Our poor little man had a rough day! The day actually got better, but this evening his fever returned and he started getting crabby again. Daddy went to work this evening, but Taylor has been awesome helping me with both the boys! I took a few pictures and videos of the kids today and so I thought I would post them. We gave Hayden a piece of gum today for the first time and it was so cute to see him chomping away while he was riding the hummer. I thought it was so cute that I had to post this little video just to show him chomping away. Hayden's facial expressions are so cute in some of these pictures! Don't forget if you can't see the pictures good you can double click on them to enlarge them. Oh...and don't you just love his pink cup?!?!

Taylor's 7th Birthday

April 10th was our little girls birthday. It's so hard to believe she turned 7 already. I can think back to the day she was born and it doesn't seem like it was that long ago. The first few pictures are of Taylor's Birthday shoot, it was actually the same day of the Easter pictures. She is such a cutie...We love you sooooo very very much Taylor Renae!!!!!

Here is her birthday invitation. I thought they turned out really good so I wanted to post it.

On her actual birthday she woke up and she was able to open present from us. It was so much fun seeing the excitement on her face. She didn't have a clue. She really thought that it was going to be a pink camo rifle and then when she saw the size she changed her mind to one of those Liv Dolls. She was so wrong!! I love how she took her time to read the card and how she let Jacob help open her gift. Jacob was so excited for Taylor. He was singing to her and telling her that he loved her so much. He was such a big "helper" to us as we got ready for the party. Taylor wanted to have a backyard party. This was our first party at home without an inflatable jump. I was a little worried at first that the kids would get bored, but this was her favorite party. We played red light green light, red rover red rover, potatoe sack races, 3 legged race, egg and spoon race, ring toss, and pinata. The kids seemed to have a blast. Thanks to my wonderful hubby it went really well. Scott played coach for the day! Below are a few pictures from the day.

The kids decided they wanted to jump into the cold pool awhile after the party. Here is Connor and Claire (Scott's brothers kids from Houston) with Jacob and Taylor getting ready to plunge into the very cold water. We were surprised on how long they actually stayed in the water. The last picture is of Taylor and Claire sleeping. It was too cute I just had to post this.

Easter at the Lease

The day after Sea World we went to the deer lease! Scott just got on a lease on the outskirts of San Antonio (thanks to me)! Ha! Ha! Just had to point that out! I don't know what I was thinking when I did it! Anyways, we went there and meet Scott's mom and step-dad to celebrate Easter together. The kids had a blast! They ran around and played hard all day. They also went fishing, painted Easter eggs, and made smores that night. The next morning was Easter and they played hard again. They were able to hunt for their baskets in the morning and then hunt for eggs later that day. We went out to the pond to go fishing and look for turtles and frogs. I don't think my kids have ever been as dirty as they were these 2 days we stayed at the lease. I think it took me a week to actually get them dirt free. LOL!! It was a really nice family day. Scott made a yummy brisket and so it was even better that I didn't have to cook!! It was really nice getting to hang out with the family and watching the kids have so much fun! Sea World

The next morning we went to Sea World with Scott's brother and his family. I think Sea World is Jacob's favorite place in the universe right now. He is in love with dolphins and whales. He watches Free Willy I,II,III and the entire first season of Flipper all the time. I hear one of those shows on at least once a day. He claims he will be a trainer when he grows up. Anyways, he loved loved loved Sea World, so we plan on taking him back again this year. It was a long day, but well worth it for our sweet little boy!!

Jacob starring at the Shamu show and getting wet by the dolphins while feeding them. He is loving every minute of it!!!

Yeah....Jacob is getting over his fear of costumed animals. I guess he figures since he can handle the easter bunny that he could handle shamu. Taylor and him look so cute here!!
